Jumping Into the Early 2000s
The
early 2000s is where the rock genre didn’t change very much. There were a few changes
from the previous “Grunge Rock”. The bands that where big in the early 2000s
were Simple Plan, Three Days Grace, Papa Roach, and 3 Doors Down. They had the
same sound as the grunge rock phase but these bands did not have the same “Grunge”
to their music. Some of my favorite songs from Simple plan are You Suck at
Love, Addicted, and I’d Do Anything. Some of my favorite songs from Three Days
Grace are I Hate Everything About You, Bitter Taste, and Animal I Have Become.
Scars, Last Resort, and I Almost Told You That I Loved You are my favorite
songs from Papa Roach. 3 Doors Down also had a lot of great songs as well,
Kryptonite, Not My Time, and When I’m Gone. These are just a few songs from
these big bands of the 2000s that I love.

Does one decade dominate? I've heard many say that the 80's is a musical wasteland. I have found little interest in much of today's music and I have two teenagers and a 12-year-old, so I hear new music. Maybe I'm just old. :-)
